Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Policy Statement

Our Core Beliefs

Veranova integrates health, safety, and environmental protection as part of our core mission to improve and save lives. We are committed to protecting our people, our customers, and the communities in which we operate through responsible stewardship and minimization of our environmental impact. We accomplish this by driving continuous and measurable improvements to our EHS management system. This Policy applies to everyone working for Veranova. Safety and environmental responsibility are not optional; they are requirements for every employee and partner.

Our Commitments

To fulfill our mission, we organize our efforts into three core pillars:

I. People and Culture

• Visible Leadership & Accountability: We expect leaders at all levels to lead by example and maintain an active presence in our operations. We promote the principle that EHS is everyone’s responsibility, empowering and expecting every individual hold each other accountable and to stop unsafe work and follow our Life Saving Rules.
• Open Reporting: We encourage the open reporting of all hazards, near-misses, and incidents, fostering a culture where learning and prevention are prioritized over assigning blame.
• Employee Wellbeing: We promote a culture of respect that supports mental health and overall physical wellbeing.
• Active Participation: We promote the consultation and involvement of workers at all levels in the development and continuous improvement of our EHS programs.

II. Operations & Excellence

• Protecting People: We strive to identify and control workplace hazards to prevent injuries and occupational illness by providing the mindset, training, and resources needed for a safe workplace.
• Process Safety & Emergency Preparation: We are committed to developing and implementing rigorous standards to prevent fires, explosions, and hazardous material releases, as well as maintaining robust emergency preparedness and response capabilities to mitigate the impact of unforeseen incidents.
• Compliance Excellence: We are committed to meeting or exceeding all applicable EHS laws and regulations.
• Supply Chain Integrity: We are committed to engaging with partners and contractors who agree to operate in alignment with our EHS and sustainability expectations.

III. Stewardship

• Sustainability: We are committed to minimizing our environmental impact by reducing energy and water consumption while striving to eliminate waste and curb emissions.
• Green Chemistry: We are investing resources in advancing Green Chemistry and the reduction of the lifecycle impact of our products to ensure responsible management from development to disposal.
