An Inspiring Day of Discovery and Connection
The day kicked off with a welcome note from Rohtash Kumar, Veranova’s SVP & CTO, followed by an opening address from Veranova’s CEO, Mike Riley, setting the tone for a day dedicated to advancing therapeutic innovation.
Highlights of the symposium include a keynote presentation from Nobel Laureate Carolyn Bertozzi, Professor of Chemistry at Stanford University, who shared groundbreaking insights into bio-orthogonal chemistry and its journey from bench to bedside, and an inspiring session on novel oligonucleotide synthesis delivered by Marvin Caruthers, Distinguished Professor from the University of Colorado Boulder.
During the afternoon, Brad Pentelute, Professor from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), delivered a thought-provoking talk discussing on-demand macromolecule manufacturing with AI and robots.
Throughout the day, attendees engaged with a full agenda of expert presentations, panel discussions, and poster sessions covering topics such as:
- Analytical and process strategies for ADC development
- Crystallization and particle engineering techniques
- Sustainable approaches in complex API manufacturing
- AI-driven macromolecule manufacturing
- Challenges in controlled substance API production
We’d like to thank all our guest speakers, panelists, and attendees for contributing to an unforgettable event. Whether exploring sustainability, scaling complex processes, or embracing new technologies, the discussions at SCALE 2025 reaffirmed the importance of working together to advance the next generation of therapeutics.
