LIVE Webinar: The Cocrystal Jungle: A Concrete Solution for the Pharma Industry, Dec 3

Cocrystals are crystalline materials formed of at least 2 different molecules packed within the same crystal lattice through non-covalent interactions such as hydrogen bonding and π-π stacking. As opposed to crystalline salts, no proton transfer is observed between the molecule and its cocrystal former (coformer). Over the last 25 years, cocrystals have emerged as a practical solution to improve solid state properties for active pharmaceutical ingredients and it has been a significant area of study for Pharmorphix® at Veranova’s Centre of Excellence for Solid Form and Particle Engineering.

Join our live webinar on December 3rd, hosted by Scientific Update, where Principal Scientist, Thierry Bonnaud, and Associate Principal Scientist, Adam Patterson, will present case studies on cocrystal formation with more unusual coformers (polymers, inorganic salts) and discuss examples of cocrystals of API salts. In addition, the use of cocrystal formation as a tool for the chiral resolution of neutral molecules and the purification of flexible and larger molecules will also be discussed.
